Ryan Scott joins Abbey Street for the summer of 2025 as the Private Wealth Management Intern, supporting a variety of projects across the organization. Ryan will primarily focus on assisting the Private Wealth Management team, while also contributing to the Retirement team, Investment team, and other key initiatives. During his time with us this summer, Ryan will gain hands-on experience learning about the financial services industry while having the opportunity to help make a meaningful impact on our team and organization.
We’re thrilled to have Ryan on board for the summer and to help our network learn more about him, we asked Ryan a few questions about his background and goals for his internship.
Ryan will be a senior at North Dakota State University this fall and is majoring in Finance with minors in Fraud Investigation and Banking.
I first learned about and connected with Abbey Street through a golf event where I had the chance to play with Blake Faust. During the round, Blake and I discussed Abbey Street’s mission and services. Our conversation sparked my interest to learn more about Abbey Street and gave me a great introduction to their team and culture.
I was immediately attracted to the strong sense of teamwork and collaboration within the company. It was clear that everyone works together and that kind of supportive and team-oriented culture really stood out to me.
During this internship, I hope to gain a strong understanding of the private wealth sector as well as the retirement side of Abbey Street’s business and the differences between the two. I am also eager to learn how the organization operates as a whole, from the day-to-day processes to long-term strategies, and how these operations impact the clients they partner with.
During my final year of college, I plan to begin taking CFP® courses to prepare for the Certified Financial Planner exam. After graduation, my goal is to pursue a career as a financial planner, to help individuals and families make important financial decisions as they prepare for their future.
I am scuba certified and have gone diving with whale sharks!
When I’m not studying or working, I enjoy golfing. It’s a great way to get outside and to spend time with friends.
The Office.
I would choose Culver’s because of the wide variety of food items that they have. I would be able to have any type of food ranging from salads, burgers, chicken, and even walleye on occasion.
We’re excited to have Ryan on the team this summer and he’s already made an impressive impact in his first few weeks. Ryan brings a strong work ethic and jumps into tasks with enthusiasm & we’re looking forward to seeing what he accomplishes over the next couple of months.
